Ashley Ford is a nurse practitioner practicing in the community at Georgia Highlands Medical Services since 2013. Ashley is a mother to two Cumming Elementary Cougars (her son is in the DLI program going into first grade and daughter going into fourth grade). Ashley speaks both English and Spanish. Ashley grew up in Cumming and graduated from Forsyth Central High School and then completed her Bachelor’s and Master of Science in Nursing at Mercer University. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a registered nurse at Gwinnett Medical Center. While she is certified in the care of all members of the family, from newborns to older adults, she specializes in the care of pediatric patients and has served as a primary care provider to many CES students at Highlands Pediatrics since joining Georgia Highlands Medical Services in 2013. Ashley is passionate about community health and feels grateful to have the opportunity to serve her community in this unique role at the school-Based Health Center at Cumming Elementary.
